What is the Prince William County Arts Council?

Prince William is dedicated to the promotion of art in all its forms. In 1992, The Prince William County Park Authority, now known as the Prince William County Department of Parks and Recreation, established The Arts Council to serve to assist in meeting these goals. Over the past 30+ years, the council has grown and developed into a substantial Arts Community. The Mission of the Council is to promote and support local artists and arts organizations and to enlighten and educate audiences about the Arts in Prince William County, the City of Manassas and Manassas Park.

What Can the Arts Council Do For You?

The Arts Council is the one-stop place for information of the Arts in Greater Prince William County. We connect artists to each other and to the community through events like our flagship annual event “Arts Alive” and help to build awareness and audiences for all Arts and Artists. All members are invited to participate in our monthly meetings. PWCAC maintains an events calendar on its webpage that lists the many events our members are hosting, as well as detailed information on our Council programs.
