Poet Laureate
This biennial ceremony is when the Council Board come together to select a Poet Laureate to represent the County for a period of two years. The designation is lead by selected panel of community members who are in the literary field. The selected Poet receives a stipend during their reign and are expected to participate in community programming and other events. This event is generally held in October.

In the Company of Laureates
This biennial event started in 2015 and repeated 2017, 2019, and returned for 2021 to once again put the literary art of poetry back in Prince William County. Hosted by PWC Arts Council with support coming from Virginia Commission for the Arts. The event is packed with discussions, lectures, workshops and Open Mic presentations. Generally held in October.
Seefeldt Awards
Held each April, the Kathleen K. Seefeldt Awards for Arts Excellence honor those artists, arts organizations, volunteers, educators, and businesses that sustain Kathleen Seefeldt’s legacy of public service and support for the cultural arts in Prince William County, Manassas, and Manassas Park. All Candidates must live, work, or volunteer in the Region; have made significant or distinguished contribution to the arts in the Region; be aged 18 or older at the time of nomination; be available to attend the ceremony and not have won a Seefeldt Award in the last five years in that category.
