Eileen Moore is originally from Butler, Pennsylvania. Growing up, Eileen participated in the performing arts through her participation with theater, chorus, The Catholic Daughters of America Drum and Bugle Corps, and Sequinette’s Dance Team. Eileen earned her B.S. in Speech Pathology from Indiana University of Pennsylvania and a Master’s Degree in Special Education from George Mason University. Eileen moved to Woodbridge in 2001. After settling in Virginia, Eileen worked for Prince William County Schools as a Special Education Teacher. Eileen’s most recent adventure is becoming Educational Director and owner of Abrakadoodle of Prince William County for the past three years. In that time, Abrakadoodle of PWC has participated in over 70 community events and additionally partners with various schools, daycares, and more to promote the visual arts in Greater PWC. Eileen Moore’s leadership is demonstrated on Abrakadoodle’s Franchising Advisory Council, as well as her presentations at National Conference.
Eileen is supported by her life-partner Troy, retired Army National Guardsman of 30 years, and now President of Abrakadoodle of Prince William County. Eileen and Troy are high school sweethearts who attended college together and traveled with Troy’s military assignments to Germany, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania and California. Eileen and Troy’s daughters, Mikayla and Marlee are attending James Madison University to pursue graduate studies in occupational therapy and special education, but continue to support their mother’s passion of the arts and collaborate on creative projects and events related to both their fields of study. Eileen values standards of excellence and has a commitment to quality education, the arts and a passion for children. Eileen also has a strong belief in the importance of art and creativity. Eileen’s dream is to continue to spark the imaginations in “Kids from 2 to 92.”
